WHMIS training for Ontario dental teams - what it covers
WHMIS is the Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System. Every Ontario dental team member exposed to hazardous products needs current WHMIS 2015 training.

What WHMIS covers
Hazard symbols and classes, supplier labels, workplace labels, safety data sheets (SDS), and the specific products used in dental settings.
Who needs it
Anyone who handles, stores, or could be exposed to hazardous products - dentists, hygienists, assistants, sterilization staff, even office managers in many cases.
How often
WHMIS training should be reviewed when new products are introduced or workplaces change. Most clinics treat it as annual refresher training.
